Project Overview
The Washington University Art and Science academic building brought a new 90,000 to 120,000 square foot facility to the heart of the university's historic St. Louis campus, anchored by a new quadrangle west of Olin Library. The building gave Arts & Sciences a visible, central home designed as a gathering place for the school and the wider campus community. Scope also included improvements to Mudd Field, an adjacent open space used for intramural sports and recreation, encompassing rebuilt turf, soil, drainage, landscape, and lighting, all while preserving partial use of the field during construction. For the pursuit, the client turned to PRESWERX to develop the presentation materials needed to convey the project's scale and vision.

Client Challenges
Presenting a complex academic and landscape project as a single, compelling vision required addressing several hurdles:
Communicating a multi phase scope spanning a new academic building and a full outdoor field renovation as one cohesive story.
Conveying the design quality and campus impact of the building before construction began.
Preparing the team for a live selection presentation.
Together, these challenges called for presentation materials built to unify a wide ranging scope into a clear, persuasive narrative.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX developed the presentation, presentation coaching, renderings, animations, and films used to support the pursuit of the Washington University Art and Science academic building. Renderings and animations translated the building's design intent and its relationship to the new quadrangle and Mudd Field into visuals the selection committee could evaluate before ground was broken. Films provided a dynamic complement to the still imagery, illustrating the building's role as a campus gathering place. Presentation coaching prepared the team's speakers to deliver the material with confidence, ensuring the visual story and the live delivery reinforced each other throughout the selection process.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX approached the pursuit as a visual storytelling challenge spanning architecture and landscape at once:
Built renderings and animations that connected the new academic building to its campus context, including the quadrangle and Mudd Field.
Produced films to convey the building's presence and purpose beyond static imagery.
Coached the presentation team on pacing and delivery ahead of the live selection interview.
The result was a unified presentation package that let the client speak to both building and site with equal clarity.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX delivered a full suite of presentation assets held to the standard of a flagship university commission:
Renderings and animations that gave the selection committee a clear view of the building's design and its relationship to the surrounding campus.
Films that added depth and motion to the visual narrative.
Coaching that sharpened the team's delivery for the live presentation.
The client entered the selection process with a cohesive, well rehearsed story and visual materials built to match the scale of the opportunity.
