Project Overview

The $4,000,000 Sanford Stadium Gate 9 Expansion overhauled the south side of the University of Georgia's football stadium to eliminate chronic congestion at one of its primary entry points. Completed in phases, the project relocated and expanded Gate 9 onto the Gillis Bridge, widening concourses, doubling restroom capacity, and introducing diverse, grab-and-go concession options to improve the fan experience. The work transformed a persistent bottleneck into a more open, functional, and welcoming gateway for fans entering the stadium. The client engaged PRESWERX to produce custom renderings and animations supporting the pursuit effort.

Client Challenges

Pursuing a $4,000,000 phased stadium expansion on a high-profile collegiate athletics venue required the client to communicate a fan experience improvement to a university owner with intense public scrutiny:

  • Communicating a phased gate relocation and concourse expansion in a way that clearly conveyed the scope and benefit of the transformation without disrupting game-day operations or fan expectations.

  • Visualizing improvements to a beloved and heavily trafficked stadium environment where changes to the entry experience would be felt by tens of thousands of fans per event.

  • Differentiating the team for a procurement requiring both technical construction credibility and an understanding of the unique demands of a Division I football venue.

The client needed visual assets that made the future gate experience tangible before construction began.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX produced custom renderings and animations for the Sanford Stadium Gate 9 Expansion pursuit, creating visual assets that brought the phased improvements to life for the University of Georgia. The renderings translated design plans for the relocated gate, widened concourses, expanded restroom facilities, and new concession areas into high-quality visuals that communicated the character and scale of the finished environment. Animations further articulated the transformation, giving the university's evaluation team a dynamic view of how the Gate 9 overhaul would improve fan flow and the overall arrival experience at Sanford Stadium.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX focused on building visual assets that could convey both the functional improvement and the experiential uplift of a high-profile stadium gate expansion. The team addressed three priorities:

  • Developing renderings that communicated the spatial impact of the Gate 9 relocation onto the Gillis Bridge, showing concourse widening and improved circulation at a scale fans and evaluators could understand.

  • Creating animations that gave the owner a dynamic view of fan movement through the expanded entry, restroom, and concession areas.

  • Aligning all visuals to the University of Georgia's expectations for a marquee collegiate athletics facility.

The result was a visual package that made the fan experience transformation concrete before construction began.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a complete set of renderings and animations tailored to the demands of a collegiate stadium pursuit:

  • High-quality renderings visualized the relocated Gate 9 expansion with the fidelity needed to convey both scope and experiential quality to a university evaluation panel.

  • Animations provided a dynamic, immersive view of the transformed entry environment, helping the owner understand the fan flow improvements the project would deliver.

  • The visual package gave the client compelling, professional assets that communicated the full intent of the Gate 9 overhaul to the University of Georgia.

The client brought materials that put the fan experience front and center.
