Project Overview

The CORE Triad Surgery Center represented a significant healthcare expansion effort in Kernersville, North Carolina. Cone Health sought to extend its existing MedCenter Kernersville campus with a new 15,500-square-foot ambulatory surgery center addition, developed as a Certificate of Need facility to serve the Triad region. The addition housed two operating rooms, one GI endoscopy room, one procedure room, 13 prep bays, and 10 post-operative recovery spaces, with a second-floor shell designed for future medical office and clinic use. PRESWERX supported the client's pursuit through proposal development, presentation design, custom renderings, animations, and presentation coaching.

Client Challenges

The client faced the challenge of communicating a technically detailed, clinically complex project as a cohesive and compelling pursuit story. Specific challenges included:

  • Translating a Certificate of Need scope across multiple specialized clinical areas into language accessible to a non-technical selection panel

  • Visualizing a finished facility with distinct surgical, recovery, and future-use spaces before a single wall was built

  • Differentiating a qualified team in a competitive healthcare construction market

  • Preparing the client team to deliver a polished, consistent presentation under the pressure of a formal interview

Each of these challenges required a pursuit partner who could bridge strategic narrative, visual production, and presentation preparation in a single coordinated effort.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX developed a complete pursuit package tailored to the clinical and operational demands of this ambulatory surgery center project. The written proposal translated the project's scope, including its two operating rooms, specialized GI and procedure spaces, and scalable second-floor shell, into a clear narrative built around the client team's qualifications and approach. Custom architectural renderings gave the selection panel a concrete visual of the completed addition and its connection to the existing MedCenter Kernersville facility. Animated sequences brought the design to life in a format suited to the live presentation environment. Targeted presentation coaching sessions prepared the client team to deliver their story with confidence and consistency.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX approached this pursuit as a single integrated effort, aligning the proposal narrative, visual assets, and presentation structure around one clear message. Key actions included:

  • Developing proposal content that framed the clinical complexity of the scope in evaluator-focused language, making a technically dense program easy to follow and assess

  • Producing photorealistic renderings and animations calibrated to the scale and character of the ambulatory surgery center addition, giving reviewers a clear picture of the finished facility

  • Running structured presentation coaching sessions that tightened the client team's delivery and built confidence ahead of the formal interview

The result was a pursuit package and a team that were fully prepared to represent the project's quality and the client's capabilities.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX produced a complete, interview-ready pursuit package held to the standards required for a high-stakes Certificate of Need healthcare project. Key deliverables included:

  • A written proposal that made the clinical and operational complexity of the scope accessible and persuasive to non-technical reviewers

  • Renderings and animations that gave evaluators a clear, detailed view of the finished facility across its surgical, recovery, and shell-space components

  • Presentation coaching that helped the client team walk into the selection interview prepared, polished, and aligned on their core message

The client entered the competition with a sharp, cohesive story and the visual and verbal tools to tell it effectively.
